WELLSBURG — On May 24, six eighth graders graduated from Timothy Christian School in a ceremony held at First Christian Reformed Church in rural Wellsburg.
Those graduating included: Trevor Bakker, son of Ryan and Lisa Bakker; Dakota Jones, son of Matt and Tricia Jones; Clint Kannegieter, son of John and Cindy Kannegieter; Jared Haupt, son of Lance and Diane Haupt; Olivia Ingledue, daughter of Chris and Jenny Ingledue; and Ashley Childers, daughter of Wendy Brewer and Todd Childers.
All six completed their K-8 education at TC. Pastor Matt Nuiver gave the graduation address based on the class verse from 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
Four students, Trevor Bakker, Dakota Jones, Jared Haupt, and Olivia Ingledue received the President’s Academic Excellence Award for maintaining an A- average in seventh and eighth grade. A highlight of the evening was a powerpoint presentation prepared by the class about their memories through their years at Timothy Christian.
The TC Class of 2010 will be attending three different area high schools. Trevor, Dakota, Jared and Olivia will be attending AGWSR. Clint will go to Aplington-Parkersburg. Ashley is headed to Grundy Center for high school.
